And here MailOnline Travel has assembled a selection of incredible pictures that reveal the country in all its exotic glory.
These amazing images include clouds hovering low over mesmerising rice fields in the north of the country and the busy floating fish markets around the hypnotic Lan Ha Bay.
But it's not all just serene landscapes. Other images show the cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh bustling with life and an unbelievable bridge that appears to be held up by a giant pair of hands. Like something from Game of Thrones.
